This weekend is for Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders who hold a minimum of OAS Stage 4 Bushwalking and have participated in a Gosford District overnight hike or equivalent overnight hike that can be verified by their unit leader.
All participants must attend the online Theory session on Monday 13th April 8pm to 9pm to be eligible to attend the hike.
Participants must be able to carry their own packs for up to 20km per day and be prepared for bush toileting (see attached Packing List).
Campsites are equipped with toilets and storm shelters, there is potable water available at both overnight sites.
Participants will be directly supervised by experienced leaders.
Cost involved
$30 Cash to cover travel costs to get there,
this will be discussed at the online meeting to get the best possible solution for everyone.
It may be a combination of public transport and ride sharing
Return trip will be Via Train from Katoomba to Gosford Station. This will need to be via an Opal Card
Cost one way - Adult $7.46; Child/Youth/Concession $3.73.
Participants will be self-catering for the entire trip.
There will be an opportunity to purchase food in Katoomba before we catch the train home.

The Route:
Day 1 (3km): Start 4pm at the inter-section of Jenolan Caves Road and Six Foot track and walk to Black Range Campground.
Day 2 (19.2km): Leave from Black Range Campground at approximately 7:00am and walk to Coxs River Camp Area.
Day 3 (18.1km): Leave Coxs River Camp Area at 7:00am and walk to Six Foot Track Info-shelter in Katoomba (15.4km), then walk to Katoomba train station (2.7km).
