Parramatta District Scouts SES Visit

Description: 

Scouts from Units across the District are participating in an activity being run by the Parramatta SES unit, which will contribute towards the Scouts earning the SES badge.

In addition to attending the SES activity, the Scouts will need to complete some additional requirements in their own time as follows:

• Demonstrate getting their home storm ready with photo evidence
• Demonstrate skills in using some hand and power tools
• Choose a game and or an activity

Program:

6:45pm - Drop-off
7:00pm - Opening Parade
7:10pm - Scouts rotate through various activities including, but not limited to:

• Sandbagging
• Rope rescue
• Mock emergency

9:00pm - Closing parade
9:15pm - Pick-up

Location:   

Refer to download file for directions approaching from either the North or South. You must enter Board Street by turning left whilst travelling North on Church Street.

Enter driveway at corner of O'Connell and Board Streets, then follow around behind the Old Parramatta Gaol to the Parramatta SES headquarters.  

• Scout shirt and scarf
• Comfortable shorts or pants
• Closed in shoes  (Crocs, sandals, thongs, etc not acceptable)

Bring:   

Small back pack containing :-

• rain coat
• jumper
• water bottle
• snacks (optional)
