Additional Information

Come and help us promote Scouts while having a ton of fun at the festival!

Activity Overview
GWS Region Scouts will be holding a promotional stand in the commercial area of the Riverstone Festival where we will be playing games and talking to people about how to be Scouts. We will also have patrols of youth members walking around the show enjoying all the activities on offer and having a great time.

Who can come
This event is open to all uniformed youth and adult members of Greater Western Sydney Region.

Membership Requirements
All members must remain financial and registered within ScoutHub from the time applications close until the end of the event.
All service and line leaders over the age of 18 must be cleared by Scouts Australia NSW to work with children and young people before the start of the camp. This includes any adult helpers and support staff.

Activities
The leadership team will be running unstructured, low space, low equipment games at the stall and patrols of youth members will also be attending all that the show has to offer. For more information on the festival, please visit https://riverstonefestival.com.au/

Food and Drinks
Food and drink for this event should be brought by all participants from home. There will be food stalls available at the show.

Feeling Safe at the Festival
Everyone in Scouts, youth and adults alike has the right to feel safe and be protected from abuse. No one is allowed to threaten you, hurt you, or touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or afraid.

A Scout is respectful, and this applies to all interactions between all participants, youth and adults at the festival.

You do not have to deal with abuse on your own. If you feel unsafe, or threatened, or you see/hear something that causes you concern, please speak to a Leader or Rover on an activity. Your concerns will be taken seriously. The information you provide will be shared with people who can support and protect you.

If you don’t know what to do – speak to someone at the Scout Festival Stall.

If, for any reason, you do not feel the concerns of this nature that you raised at Jamborette have been satisfactorily dealt with, please report your concerns directly to the Child Protection Team at the NSW State Office on 02 9735 9000 or via ChildProtection@nsw.scouts.com.au or your parents.

Payment & Refund Policy
All applications and e-permissions must be received by the organising team before the closing date. Any application not finalised before the closing date will be cancelled. Late applications may be accepted with the approval of the organising team.

General Health Policy
If you are unwell or are showing symptoms of a viral disease, we ask that you stay home, self-isolate and look after yourselves.
