Come and help us promote Scouts while having a ton of fun at the festival!
Activity Overview:
GWS Region Scouts will be holding an interactive promotional stand at the Blacktown Festival - Streets Alive on Saturday 30 May 2026, from 9am to 4.00pm, where we will be playing games and talking to people about how to be Scouts.
We have also registered GWS Scouts to join in the Street Parade Day. Starting at 11am, the street parade will travel through the Blacktown CBD, showcasing Blacktown's multiculturalism, history, emergency services and local groups.
Come along, show support, walk around the festival enjoy all the activities on offer and have a great time.
Who can come:
This event is open to all uniformed youth and adult members of Greater Western Sydney Region.

Activities:
Street Stall - We require Adults in Scouting to help man the stall and youth to come by in uniform to show what scouting is all about. Street Parade - Youth and Leaders are invited to march in the Street Parade, starting at 11am.

Feeling Safe at the Festival:
Everyone in Scouts, youth and adults alike has the right to feel safe and be protected from abuse. No one is allowed to threaten you, hurt you, or touch you in a way that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or afraid.
A Scout is respectful, and this applies to all interactions between all participants, youth and adults at the festival.
You do not have to deal with abuse on your own. If you feel unsafe, or threatened, or you see/hear something that causes you concern, please speak to a Leader or Rover on an activity. Your concerns will be taken seriously. The information you provide will be shared with people who can support and protect you.
If you don’t know what to do – speak to someone at the Scout Festival Stall.
If, for any reason, you do not feel the concerns of this nature that you raised at Jamborette have been satisfactorily dealt with, please report your concerns directly to the Child Protection Team at the NSW State Office on 02 9735 9000 or via ChildProtection@nsw.scouts.com.au or your parents.
