Brief Summary:

This a Personal Development course for 13-15 year-olds

Youth will get out of it what they put in.

Discussion around project plan including thinking of special interest areas that could be used for a project as part of the course requirements

What?

The course will be facilitated through a a fun mix of interactive group conversations, Patrol activities and as an individual. We intend on making use of scout methods like “learning by doing” in an interactive and engaging way.

Who?

We will have a mix of facilitators and supporters engaging with our Youth. This course will not be restricted to the hall - We will embrace our local context to make the experience adventurous, fun, challenging and inclusive for the Scouts and Venturers participating.

How?

In our active cycle of Scouts we 'Plan, Do, Review'.

There will be Pre-course work, there will be post course work. It will not be hard

Why?

This course will also be a way to help youth feel more confident in taking responsibility in their Home Unit. This is also an opportunity to complete Personal Development Course for those pursuing/considering their Peak Award
