Length: ~37 km, Time: 3 days, Grade: 4/6 Hard Track, Gradient: Very steep (4/6).
Cost: $15.00 for youth and adult members. No cost for supporting TPs & Guides. This small fee covers Camping fees for the weekend and Region Activity Equipment maintenance.
Participants will require an Opal Card, Debit Card or sufficient funds to purchase a Train fare from Cowan to Thornleigh (Adult ~$5.38, Concession ~$2.69, Youth/Child ~$2.69)
Arrival Time: Participants are to arrive NO LATER THAN 8am Saturday 6 June 2026.

Finish Time: Variations in party size, walking rate, weather etc, may have an effect on the finish time. While every intention is to return on time, in some instances, times may vary by an hour or so. The leader will carry a Satellite messenger and or a Personnel Location Beacon (PLB) for emergency purposes if required. Note, the phone service in that area is very unreliable.
The party is anticipating to return to BPAC around 16:30 on Monday 8 June 2026. Any change to the expected return of the party will be communicated accordingly.
There will be a briefing session on 4/6 at 7:30pm Venue TBC. Come with pack ready to be weighed.

Transport: Hikers are to organise suitable transport for themselves and all equipment. Petrol money is generally organised within the members scout group) If someone is driving you, bring a full change of clothes, shoes. deodorant etc (in a plastic bag) that can remain with the cars until required for the journey home.
Important Information:
· This is a self-cater activity. Make sure that you know how to use your cooking equipment and how to cook your meals.
· Make sure your back pack FITS properly and that it is not too heavy. Pack everything inside the back pack, including the bedding roll mat. Use light weight camping and cooking. A packing list is attached. A list of equipment available for hire from Hume region activities team is also attached. Modest hire fee applies.
· NO open cooking fires are permitted. Gas, liquid and Solid fuel stoves are acceptable.
· There are limited facilities, you will need to bring a cat hole shovel (for toilet) whilst on trail. Toilets are available at the campgrounds (mix of long drop and plumbed).
· You will need to carry sufficient water during the hike. Participants are encouraged to carry as a minimum 3L of water in BOTTLES (the use of hydration bladders is discouraged).
· NO plastic ponchos or plastic rain coats please. The friendly bush will tear the material.
· Carry emergency food ration (1 day). This is NOT an option.
· The weather can be very cold and wet at this time of year. We are still going if it is raining. It is good practice not to wear cotton or jeans in wet weather.
The Activity will be postponed if:
· there is a "severe weather warning" posted
· National Parks announces a Hazard Reduction Fire in the local area.
· National Parks announces a feral animal eradication program (other than baiting) in the local area.
