Additional Information

The Course is an opportunity for Scouts to challenge and extend their character and leadership development. Character is a reflection of the values expressed in the Scout Law: Be Respectful, Do What is Right, and Believe in Myself. Through exploring these values and developing their sense of identity, Scouts will grow their confidence to lead others. The Course helps Scouts develop leadership skills they can put into practice in their home Scout units and other Scout activities. Skills and qualities developed by a young person as a Scout will be of great advantage to them while they are in Scouts including as a current or potential future Patrol Leader or Assistant Patrol Leader. The skills learnt will continue to be a benefit as they advance in their Scouting journey and indeed into their adult life

It is preferred that initial registration into EMS for Scouts applying to participate should be entered by the Scout Leader of the Scout's home unit,
