Description:

This Scout Adventurous Journey is being organised by Katherine at 1st North Rocks.

Day 1: 9.35 km Heathcote Road to Kingfisher Pool Campground
Day 2: 12.63 km Kingfisher Pool Campground to Uloola Falls Campground
Day 3: 8.30 km Uloola Falls Campground to Royal NP Visitor Centre

There will be opportunities for the Scouts to have a swim in creeks along the route.

 

Requirements:

Scouts recommended to have achieved OAS Camping stage 4, however, can discuss their experience with Jumbuck if not yet completed stage 4.

 

Cost:

  • camping costs to be shared (approx. $10.59 each)
  • food costs TBD (either self catered or shared catering)

 

Bring:

Hiking pack containing:

  • hiking tent (can be shared between 2-3 Scouts)
  • sleeping bag
  • sleeping mat
  • food for 3 days (2x breakfast, 3x lunch, 2x dinner, and snacks)
  • spare clothing (incl. warm clothing)
  • torch/headlamp
  • stove and fuel (can be shared by a number of Scouts)
  • personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, sunscreen, insect repellent)
  • water bottle (minimum 2L)
  • rain coat
  • small personal First Aid kit
  • money to buy snacks (optional)

The 1st North Rocks Scout Unit has hiking packs and 3-person hiking tents that are available to hire - please discuss with Jumbuck (first come, first served).
