Region Scout Leadership Course

Activity Overview.

The Course runs from Friday evening 13th August, with check-in from 18:00 and will conclude at 15:00 on Sunday 15th August.

The weekend will be self-cater and bring own tent.

Scouts will be placed into Patrols and will undertake a series of Leadership challenges.

The BSLC is a Sun Safe event and all participants are expected to wear a broad brim hat (not a cap) and collared shirt.

Any member who doesn’t follow rules and obey the Scout Law will miss out on Activities and could possibly be sent home.

Who should come?

Senior Scouts who are ready and willing to participate as determined by their Unit Council.

No more than 2 Scouts per Group, unless the capped number of 24 is not met.

Leaders who have Scouts attending.

Camping.

Need to supply own camping and catering equipment.

Membership Requirements

All members must remain financial and registered within Scout Link from the time applications close until the end of the event.

COVID-19 Considerations

We are excited to be running the BSLC again and hope that you will join us for this weekend. However as with all activities currently being planned for 2021 and into the future, we need to take into account the evolving situation with the COVID-19 Pandemic. This means that there will be changes to how we run the BSLC this year, up to and including having to cancel this event at short notice. Please regularly check back to this page where we will provide any updates on how COVID will affect our ability to run the course.

· If you are unwell, or are showing symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you stay home, self-isolate and get tested. Our refund policy allows that any person who stays home and provides medical evidence (Including a COVID-19 test) will receive a refund for this event.

· If you have visited a COVID-19 hotspot as identified by the NSW Government within the 14 days prior to this event. Information on COVID-19 Hotspots, both within NSW and Interstate can be found at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19

· If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or otherwise and have been directed to Quarantine or Self-Isolate by the NSW Government or a Medical or Healthcare Professional.
