EMERGENCIES

In an emergency a leader (or parent) from your Unit will contact you. If there is an issue the Camp Administration will contact your Units home contact to pass on relevant information or may contact you or your emergency contact directly if necessary.

FOOD

The camp fee does not include meals. Each Unit will organise and supply their own food at an additional cost payable directly to your group. Please do not send your Youth Member to camp with food or lollies & definitely no nut products of any kind.

If your Youth Member has a special diet you must inform your Unit Leaders & note this on the permission form, this includes any food allergies - listed both in dietary needs & allergies.

HEALTH

Medications including prescription, over the counter & herbal must be in the original container; handed to the Unit's 1st Aider, only exceptions are asthma puffers & allergy pens which must be carried by the user. It is preferable that anyone with severe Asthma or an allergy pen have a management/treatment plan, copy attached to their E1 & a copy to the Unit 1st Aider please.

COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS

We are excited to be running Thrills and Skills and hope that you will join us for this weekend. However as with all activities currently being planned for 2022, we need to be adaptable and follow the current NSW Government guidelines. This means that there will be changes to how we run Thrills and Skills, up to and including having to cancel this event at short notice. Please keep an eye out for an email closer to the event with an update on how COVID will affect our ability to run the camp.

Please do not attend Thrills and Skills if you are unwell or are showing symptoms of COVID-19. We ask that you stay home, self-isolate and get tested. Our refund policy allows that any person who stays home and provides medical evidence (Including a COVID-19 test) will receive a refund for this event.

GEAR LIST

Unit Leaders will provide you with an advised gear list, this will be chosen to reflect the weather & the activity requirements of the camp. Joeys and Cub s should practice selecting & packing their own clothes & necessities prior to camp.

WHO CAN COME?

All adult helpers will need to have filled out a A2 https://nsw.scouts.com.au/adult-helper-application/ and WWCC prior to registering for camp. Please speak with your Group Leader if you need help doing this.
