Brief Summary:
State Rally is a lightweight camp held at Cataract Scout Park. Patrols will be accommodated at a RAC and be required to take day packs with their lunch and other items for the day with them to activities. We will be adhering to strict COVID requirements over the course of the weekend to ensure everyone's safety.

Activity Overview

State Rally is the biggest annual State-run Scouting event on the calendar. This event is open to ALL Scouts in NSW.  The theme for 2022 is “Don't Look Back”.

Everyone, Leaders and Youth Members are encouraged to come along in costume for a sensational weekend building .

This event is focused on giving the attendees a worthwhile activity whereby they have some fun and learn whilst doing. The focus of State Rally is to provide activities to challenge the Scouts, which can contribute to the Personal Progression Framework, are Patrol based give opportunities for everyone to participate, assist and lead.

This is a competition camp. Participants will earn points whilst completing fun filled activities for their Patrol. The marking scheme will be based on their performance against the activity outcomes and their demonstrated team work as a Patrol. Activities vary in duration and may consist of a few small activities. Patrol Leaders will also be scored on their Leadership capabilities.

Who can come? - Membership Requirements

State Rally 2022 is open to all Scout Aged participants who are registered with, or transitioning into a Scout Unit at the time of the event.   Venturers, Rovers, Leaders & Fellowship members are welcome to attend and asked to put together some amazing activities for the weekend.

Duke of Edinburgh Award participants are able to participate with the consent of their Award Leader.  Please email Mitch.Stubbs@nsw.scouts.com.au before applying to confirm your eligibility.

All members must remain financial and registered within ScoutLink from the time applciation till the close of the event. 

All service and line leaders over the age of 18 must be cleared by Scouts Australia NSW to work with children and young people prior to the start of the camp. This includes any adult helpers who must have submitted an A2 form and been accepted by the group prior to the event closing date.

Camping & Accommodation

There will be three RACs (Region Activity Centre) providing activities around Cataract Scout Park. Each activity will be supervised by Leaders and assisted by Venturers, Rovers and other adult helpers. All Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Leaders and Adult Helpers are accommodated on three separate RAC’s.  Where possible, we will be sleeping youth patrols on their home Region's RAC.

The Scout and Venturer sleeping areas are supervised till late in the evening and from the early hours of the morning. There are leaders close-by overnight to manage any emergencies. Scouts will not need to relocate their sleeping arrangements and will be hosted by a RAC for the entire weekend.

Refunds & Withdrawals

If after making an application, you are unable to attend State Rally 2022, you must email Mitch.Stubbs@nsw.scouts.com.au as soon as possible.  Withdrawal fees are as follows:

In the event that State Rally 2022 is Cancelled due to Flood, Fire, or COVID 19 Government Restrictions, we will attempt to refund as much of your registration fee as possible.

COVID-19 Considerations

 We are excited to be running State Rally 2022 and hope that you will join us for this weekend. However, as with all activities currently being planned for 2022 and into the future, we need to take into account the evolving situation with the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This means that there will be changes to how we run State Rally this year, up to and including having to cancel this event at short notice. Please regularly check back to this page where we will provide any updates on how COVID will affect our ability to run State Rally 2022. In the event that State Rally 2022 is Cancelled due to Flood, Fire, or COVID 19 Government Restrictions, the team will try to refund as much of the fee as possible.

Please do not attend State Rally 2022:
