Rummery Park Camp and Hike

This is an opportunity for Scouts and Venturers to develop their hiking and camping skills.

The $10 cost covers camping at Rummery Park. Scouts/Venturers need to self cater, and to provide their own camping equipment.

Scouts/Venturers will hike as patrols, and be expected to navigate to various locations within Nightcap NP with limited adult supervision.

During the hikes the Scouts/Venturers will be expected to wear appropriate clothing, and carry packs appropriate for a day hike in Nightcap NP (i.e. food / water / warm clothing / rain jacket / first aid kit / torch / compass).

On Saturday night, Scouts/Venturers will camp at Rummery Park (and can safely leave overnight gear at the camp-site during the day hikes).

Drop-off/pick-off is at Rummery Park (https://goo.gl/maps/6LUAJ5qu5FCT1zW7A). Due to the recent weather events, Rummery Park is currently only accessible via Nightcap Range Road - please contact Phil if your unsure of how to get to Rummery Park with this navigational challenge.
