Victoria Falls Road Beginner Hike

Please note Victoria Falls Track to Burra Korain/Grose River is currently closed. Victoria Falls Road remains open to the trackhead carpark which is also a camping site.

We may include a short afternoon or night walk once the camp is set up. 

Duration: 2 Days
Start Mount Victoria Station 12 noon Thursday
Finish Mount Victoria Station 12 noon Friday

Direct and Indirect supervision, Guide has completed Wilderness First Aid

Bring opal card and spending money to buy some lunch in town on Friday 

Regular trains to Mount Victoria from Sydney. Car parking available at Mount Victoria Station. This station is manned 24 hours.

Route:

Approx. 12 km total distance
Entry level, unsealed Victoria Falls Road. Quiet access road.  Gentle pace with regular breaks.
Windy loo toilet on site, however prepare for bush toileting in the event of closure for maintenance. 

Campsite:

Camping at a small clearing with a carpark, picnic table and windy loo toilet. Bush toileting and hygiene during hike. Scouts are encouraged to cook meals on fuel stoves.

Scouts can be picked up early on Friday if they have family or sporting commitments. An opportunity for youth members who are adjusting to carrying a loaded pack.
