Practice overnight hike. Minimum impact practice. 12 km each way. Leave no trace. Overnight site has limited space. Informal clearing, uneven in places. Fuel stoves only. Available to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Leaders.

Saturday 15 April Narrow Neck Lookout to Clear Hill 12 km

Sunday 16 April Clear Hill to Narrow Neck Lookout 12 km

Any participants from the previous hike staying at the Katoomba Falls Tourist Park will walk from Katoomba Falls to Narrow Neck Lookout on Saturday morning. 

Drop pit toilet available at the fire tower approx 7 km. Bush toileting and hygiene applies.

Water

No water supply at the overnight site. Pack 3 L of water on Saturday. All participants should pack minimum 3 L water. We may be able to access water from Breakfast Creek.

Views of Megalong Valley and Lake Burragorang.

Suitable for entry level participants who play sport or exercise regularly.

Parking

Please note limited parking at Narrow Neck Lookout. Option to park at the Katoomba Station commuter carpark and travel on local bus 868G. Depart Carrington Hotel 8:33 am Arrive Acacia Street 8:41 am Walk to 400 m to Narrow Neck Lookout.
