From these workshops you will learn to identify the parts of a small sail boat, rig the boat, capsize the boat and recover the boat and sail on Chipping Norton Lake (weather permitting).
Participants must bring their food and drink (include a water bottle) for the day. There are no shops in close proximity. Essentials - towels, swimming costume, rash vest, board shorts, hat (preferable one that can't blow off), sunscreen, a copy of a weather report for each day and water shoes. Participants who feel the cold after being in water should bring dry clothes (and maybe a light jumper if you really feel the cold) to wear home. Participants must wear shoes to participate. Old joggers will suffice if you do not have water shoes. Life Jackets will be supplied.
Paricipants must find their own way to and from Angle Park, Chipping Norton. Please meet in the carpark near the Angle Park boat ramp.
Capacity for this workshop depends on the number of people available to tow boats to and from the venue each week. If you can tow a boat, please contact Keith Travers and advise.
Please bring a log book to record each session. If you have sailed previously, please bring your log book.
