Introduction to bushwalking suitable for OAS 1-5

Couranga walking track is in the Waterfall precinct of Royal National Park. 

Grade 3, 10.2km return

Meeting Point / 9am in the Car Park at Waterfall Station. Coordinates  34.1345° S, 150.9945° E

  • Turn off Princes Highway at Waterfall train station
  • Walking track starts at the rear of the station’s carpark

No water is available on this hike, at least 2 L per participant must be carried.

OAS level progression involves the knowledge of what to pack, and carrying the bag for the duration of the hike. 

Bare minimum - hat, sunscreen, first aid kit (bandaids), 2L water.

Please consider your other requirements for this hike in order to demoinstrate required skills for OAS progression.
