Location: Starting Dunphy’s Campground, Megalong Valley, via Splendour Rock, Wild Dog Ranges, Blue Mountains and returning to Dunphy’s Campground
Activity Information:
This hike is for experienced participants as it involves technical sections, steep grades and difficult, uneven terrain in some sections.
This route is likely to include fire trail, walking track, rock scrambling and shallow water crossings. This hike will involve extended physical activity and endurance. Suitable for OAS4+ youth members.
The hike is self-catered so please bring nutritious food as this is quite a demanding walk. It is important to bring sufficient food for the duration. Choose hearty and nutritious foods that will provide sufficient energy. A recommend food menu is attached.
Splendour Rock Campground may be an informal clearing, bring appropriate equipment to cater for this such as groundsheets.

Building physical endurance and utilising navigational techniques. Aims to expose participants to the remote dawn service in the Blue Mountains
