Brief Summary:
Join us for a day on and in the water learning all things canoeing skills to help you work towards Trained participant Canoeing. Day will include theory and practical sessions supported by South Met AA team Guides and indentured Guides. Pre requisite- YOUTH: OAS 3 and above in Paddling and must be able to swim 50m unaided Leaders: Confident paddler with previous experience and able to swim 50m unaided All participant must submit their Log book of at least 3 canoe activities by closing date of applications. *** to obtain TP canoe you must complete TP core workbook and Basic water rescue.*** Basic water rescue course on the 2/11/25 at Cronulla water activities centre (Separate event Registration)

Pre requisite-

YOUTH: OAS 3 and above in Paddling and Must be able to swim 50m unaided

Leaders: Confident paddler with previous experience and able to swim 50m unaided

 

To Bring:

  • Paper and pen or electronic device e.g laptop/ iPad.
  • Swimmers
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Change of clothes
  • Towel
  • Water shoes
  • Packed lunch and snack
  • Water bottle
  • Log book with at least 3X paddles on flat water ~ within 400m from shore recorded in last 3 years.
